g  > 1.2
Huge
0.8 < g ≤ 1.2
Very large
0.5 < g ≤ 0.8
Large
0.2 < g ≤ 0.5
Medium
0.01 < g ≤ 0.2

Evidence rating

The evidence rating describes how well this particular research question is supported by evidence.

This topic is supported by lots of consistent, high-quality evidence
This topic is supported by consistent, high-quality evidence
There's some evidence for this topic, but it's limited or inconsistent
There's little evidence supporting this topic
This topic has little or no evidence

Risk rating

The risk rating summarizes the risks associated with an intervention.

This intervention has serious side effects that are relatively common
This intervention has serious side effects
This intervention has relatively common side effects
This intervention has side effects
This intervention has rare side effects

gScore

The gScore is a composite score that combines:

Research

The total amount of research conducted on this topic. Higher-quality research is weighted more heavily than lower-quality research.

Efficacy

The observed effect size. This is normalized between different outcomes using Hedges g.

Risk

The risk of using this treatment, including side effects, addictiveness, and FDA warnings.
